In this course we analyzed the content and format of Internet communications
including search engines, conferencing software, e-mail, and HTML for Web site development. I evaluated a Web site
in the arts, I assessed Web search engines and services, and I wrote a brief research project using sources from online databases.
Other course topics include censorship, copyright, privacy and security issues, online
learning, Internet access, and Internet standards. I created my online portfolio of course projects to demonstrate my
ability to navigate the Internet with efficiency and I gained awareness of its power and limitations.
I recommend HUM 142 Internet Communications to all students
who are interested in Internet, todays one of the most powerful communication and information tool.
